Meads & Reads. Come to The Drinking Horn Meadery and enjoy $1.00 off your first drink by showing your library card and find your favorite summer read using our Meads & Reads pairing menu! Tuesday, June 6th. 5:30 to 7:30pm
Game Nig With Vault: Wednesday June 7th. 5 to 7:30pm at the East Flagstaff Community Library. Play baord games, cards, strategy games and more!
Pride in Your Community. Queer Board Game Night. Friday, June 9th from 6:00-8:00. Bookman's Cafe. 152- S Riordan Ranch St, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. Ages 12+
Science Cafe: Community Internet Measurement Walk. Join us for coffee followed by a science-filled internet measurement walk through Downtown Flag! Wear walking shoes and bring a hat, water, and your smart phone if you have one! Saturday, June 10th at 10am. Meet at the Downtown Library
Youth Events
Summer Reading Challenge Kick-Off Party! Join us for the first day of the Summer Reading Challenge! There will be crafts, fun, & staff on hand to help you register. June 5th, 9:00 to 11:00am at the Downtown Library.
Paws to Read: Sign up to practice reading to a real therapy dog! Mondays & Thursdays from June 5th to July 20th: 20 minute appointments. Come in person to the Downtown Youth Services to sign up for your reading time. Registration starts May 30th.
Pollinator Art Lab. Make art for the Flagstaff Sustainability Office Pollinator Art Contest! Winning art will be displayed at the Arboretum Pollinator Festival on June 18, 2023. Ages 3 and up. June 6th at 1:30pm in the Downtown Library.
Family Storytime at Bushmaster Park Community Ramada. Wednesdays, June 7th to July 19th from 10:30to 11:15 am.
Teddy Bear Picnic. Join us at Wheeler Park for stories, songs, and teddy bear picnic fun! June 7th Wednesday at 12:00 pm. Bring your teddy bear and lunch!
Game Day: Ages 8 to 17. Swing by the community room at the East Flagstaff Community Library to play games and table top games! Wednesdays, June 7th and 21st and July 5th and 19th.
Katie Vernon Author/Illustrator Visit. Thursday, June 8th at 10:30 am. Ages 3 and up. Katie Vernon is the author/illustrator of a new picture book called "Ari Arranges Everything". Come for a storytime, show and tell, and a group art project.
Friday Flicks: June 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th and July 7th and 14th. Craft at 1:30, movie at 2pm. Join us in the Community Room for a kid-friendly movie! We'll have a themed craft 30 minutes before the movie begins.
Storytimes at the Downtown Library! Bouncing Babies: June 23rd and July 14th at 10:30 am. Toddler Tales: June 13th to July 18th, Tuesdays at 10:30 am. Preschool Express: June 15th to July 20th, Thursdays at 10:30 am. Saturday Story Stop: Year-round at 10:30 am.
Yes And... Improv for Young Writers. Saturday, June 10th at 1:30pm. Registration Required. learn some basics of improv and how to apply it to your own writing. Be prepared to participate in some very silly group warm-up exercises and two-person improvised scenes.

Senior Book Club at the Joe C Montoya Senior Center. June 19th at 1pm. Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead.
Banned Book Club: To Kill a Mockingbird. Tuesday June 27th at 6pm. Downtown Library. Racism? Rape? "White Saviors"? Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
Kids Book Club (suggested age 7 and up). Monday, June 26th at 4:30: Amari and the Night Brothers. Monday, July 10th at 4:30: Swim Team. You may attend either Book Club - or both! The Book Club will be held in the Community Room at the downtown library. Click her to see how to reserve your FREE BOOK
LGBT+ Book Club. The Raven Tower by Ann Leckie. July 10th at 6:30PM.
Southwest Reads Book Club: One Woman's West. July 26th at 6:pm. Downtown Library.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more. Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
