Friends of the Flagstaff Library Annual Book Sale. Sept. 8th (Friends Members sneak peak only): 4:00 - 6:00pm. Saturdays: September 9th, 16th, and 23rd, 9:30am - 5:00pm. Sundays: September 10th, 17th, and 24th, 9:00am - 12:30 pm. Downtown Library.
Adult & All-Ages Events
Movie Tuesday: Jurassic Park. September 19th from 5:30 to 7:45pm at the Downtown Library. In honor of the Flagstaff Festival of Science's 2023 theme of de-extinction and ancient DNA, we're showing the 1993 classic, Jurassic Park! Rated PG-13 for intense science fiction horror.
Community Living Room with Mary Sojourner; Southwestern novelist, essayist, former NPR commentator, & fierce activist for the natural lands & wildlife of the Colorado Plateau. September 20th in the northwest corner of the Downtown Library from 6 to 7 PM.
What If... Festival of Science Speculative Fiction. What would happen if we cloned an extinct species back to life? Write a poem or short story (3 pages or less in length) exploring this issue and bring it to share with other writers! Saturday, September 23rd, 3 to 4pm. Downtown Community Room.
Paint Night: Alebrijes. Paint your pets in this Mexican folk style. Monday September 25th at 6pm. All materials will be provided. Registration required. Please preregister and send your pet picture by September 18th. If you do not have a picture of a pet, but still want to participate, register and let us know what animal you would like to do.
Library Tours. East Flagstaff Community Library September 18th from 5 to 6pm. Downtown Library September 29th from 11am to 12pm. Celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month by attending a tour of the public service areas of the two Flagstaff libraries. #FPLReadyToRead

Southwest Reads Book Club: The Three-Cornered War by Megan Kate Nelson.September 27th at 6:pm. Downtown Library.
Banned Book Club: The Hate U Give. Tuesday October 3rd from 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. Police brutality? Protests? Riots? "Pervasive vulgarity"?  Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
Thursday Night Book Club: The Swimmers by Julie Otsuka. October 12 at 6 PM, Downtown Library & on Zoom.
Youth Events
Fall 2023 Storytimes. Baby Lap Time. September 12th to November 14th. Tuesdays at 9:15 am. Downtown Library Community Room. Enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays, knee bounces, rhymes, and more with your infant.
Fall 2023 Storytimes. Toddler Tales. September 12th to November 16th. Tuesdays at 10am and Thursdays at 9:15am. Downtown Library Community Room. Your toddler will delight in this special time for stories, songs, games, and more.
Fall 2023 Storytimes. Preschool Express. September 13th to November 16th. Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10am. Downtown Library Community Room. Surprises galore are in store when we get together for stories, songs, and games.
Fall 2023 Storytimes. Saturday Story Stop. Year-round at 10:30am. Downtown Library Community Room. Come to a fun-filled morning of storytime for ALL ages.
Family Storytime. Wednesdays September 13th to November 1st. 10:30 to 11:15AM. East Flagstaff Community Library.
Crafty Corner. Tuesdays September 12th to October 31st from 3:30 to 4:30pm. Ages 3+. Express your creativity at the East Flagstaff Community Library.
Game Day. Play video games & tabletop games! Wednesdays September 20th, October 4th, October 18th, and November 1st from 2:30 to 4pm. Ages 8 to 17. East Flagstaff Community Library.
Bards & Nobles: Dungeons & Dragons for teens. Downtown Library Conference Room. September 20th, October 4th, October 18th, November 1st, and November 15th from 5 to 7:30pm. Ages 12 to 18. Registration required.
Game Time, Hang Time. Ages 8 to 18. Come chill. Switch, PS4, and board games. Free snacks. 1 to 2pm on September 22nd, October 13th, October 27th, and November 10th. Downtown Library Community Room.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.   Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
