Adult & All-Ages Events
Zoom Workshop. Learn how to create an account, make video calls, and build confidence using Zoom features. All technology is provided. Seats are limited and registration is required. *This is a course for intermediate learners. Attendees should already have an email and be able to confidently navigate the internet. Tuesday, October 25th at 2pm. Downtown Library.
Paranormal Encounters: The Library Ghost. Wednesday, October 26th, 5:30pm to 7pm, Downtown Library. Is the Flagstaff Public Library really haunted? Join us for a special presentation on parapsychology, ghost hunting techniques and terminology, and the history of the library and Emerson School, then discuss your theories about what's behind the library's weird phenomena.
Exploring the Art of Banksy. Tuesday, November 1st at 6pm, Downtown Library. Banksy is an unidentified British graffiti artist whose originality has attracted interest all over the world.
Game Night with Vault. Wednesday, November 2nd from 5pm to 7:30pm. Join us on the first Wednesday of every other month for a night of fun and games at the Downtown Library Community Room .
Community Interntet Action Project: Ever been frustrated by slow internet? Or felt like your cellular data isn’t available in all the places it should be? Be a part of a new Citizen Science project in Flagstaff to create and use first-of-its-kind tools for internet measurement. Help hold internet service providers accountable! Thursday, November 3rd at 4:30 pm. East Flagstaff Library.
Book Clubs
Horror Story Club. October 25th at 5:30 pm. Downtown Library. The One Who Waits and the Rats in the Walls. Note: some stories contain dated and offensive language.
Youth Climate Book Club: Meet on the 2nd Friday each month to have a deeper dialogue about climate with other youth (age 15-25) while discussing a section each month from All We Can Save. Pick up a copy at the Downtown or East Flagstaff library. Friday, November 4th at 4:30pm, East Flagstaff Library. We'll be discussing the "Root" section.
Thursday Night Book Club: The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton. November 10th at 6 PM, Downtown Library & on Zoom.
Southwest Reads Book Club: Lazy B. 4th Monday of every other month at 5:30pm at the Downtown Library. November 28th.
LGBT Book Club. December 12th at 6:30pm, in-person at the East Flagstaff Community Library. Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel. Recommended for ages 18 and up.

Youth Events
Downtown Library Storytimes. Baby Laptime: Tuesdays, September 13th to November 15th, 9:15 am. Toddler Tales: September 13th to November 17th, Tuesdays at 10 am and Thursdays at 9:15 am. Preschool Express: September 14th to November 17th, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 am. Outside, weather permitting. Otherwise, they will be in the Community Room.
Crafty Corner. Express your creativity at the East Flagstaff Community Library! Tuesdays, September 13th to November 1st. 3:30 to 4:30pm. Ages 3 and up.
Family Storytime. Wednesdays, September 14th to November 2nd from 10:30am to 11:15am. In the Community Room at the East Flagstaff Community Library
Creation Station stories and crafts: Wednesdays Sept. 14 & 28 Oct. 12 & 26 and Nov. 9 at 3:45pm in the Downtown Community Room. Ages 3 and up.
Let's Talk About Sex: Health Sexuality Education Sessions for Ages 12 to 18. Friday, October 28th, 4pm to 5:30 pm. Permission Slip required. East Flagstaff Library.
Cells, Genes, and Germs, Oh My! Ages 3 to 10. Local scientists will engage children in hands-on activities, including drawing/modeling cells, a game to match DNA "sequences" to traits found in household pets (or other animal!), and building models of pathogens (germs). Saturday, October 29th at 1pm. Downtown Library.
Locked in the Library. Saturday, October 29th at 6:30pm. Ages 8 to 12. Join us for a chilling after-hours event with spooky games, snacks, scary stories, and more! LIMITED SPACE. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
Game Time Hang Time: Come chill with Switch & PS4 games and free snacks! Ages 8-18. 3:45-4:45pm. Fridays September 16TH and 30TH, October 7TH and 21ST, November 4TH & 18TH. Downtown Community Room.
Game Day: Fridays September 16th and 30th, October 14th and 28th, 2:30 to 4pm. Swing by the Community Room at the East Flagstaff Community Library to play video games and table top games! Ages 8 to 17.
Lego Club at the Downtown Library. We bring the bricks, you bring the imagination! Mondays September 19th and 26th, October 3rd, 17th, and 31st, and November 7th. 3:45pm. Ages 5 to 11.
Lego Club at the East Flagstaff Library: Thursdays September 22nd, October 6th and 20th, and November 3rd. 2:30 to 3:45pm.
Anime Tales and Play: Every other Monday, September 19th to October 31st. 3:15 to 4:30pm at the East Flagstaff Library. Watch Anime, Play Games, Get Crafty, Discuss anime & manga, and Check-out the latest manga & anime DVDs! Food Provided!
Bardes and Nobles: Dungeons and Dragons for teens. Ages 12 to 17. 3rd Thursdays of the month, September through November. 5 to 7:30pm. Downtown Library.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more. Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
