Want to help Flagstaff grow sustainably?

Are you concerned about housing, providing multi-modal transportation, climate change adaptation and resilience, open space, and ensuring we have water into the future?

Yes? Please consider running for Flagstaff City Council in 2022.

1) Do you reside in Flagstaff? If so, start with talking to family and friends about your desire to run.

2) Attend City Council meetings on Tuesdays starting at 3 pm (in person or virtually); view current and past council agendas; think of yourself sitting at the dais and making these decisions.

3) Watch this public 30-minute video created by Council member Adam Shimoni and City Clerk Stacy Saltzburg that outlines what you need to know to run for city council.

4) Go to this city website page to find links to the Statement of Interest, other forms, the 2022 Candidate Election Guide, and the City Clerk’s phone number.

5) Meet with City Clerk Stacy Saltzburg. After this, you can you start to:

6) Gather the required number of signatures to qualify for the ballot (minimum of 1,602 and maximum of 3,203). Signatures must be filed between March 7 and April 4, 2022.
