Jan. 24 — Community open house for Flagstaff’s Climate Action and Adaption Plan

FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff will host an open house on Jan. 24 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Flagstaff Aquaplex (1702 N. Fourth St.) to gather community input on the city’s first-ever Climate Action and Adaptation Plan.

As part of the City’s commitment to taking meaningful action on climate change, it’s working with the community to develop a Climate Action and Adaptation Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prepare residents, businesses, local partners and government institutions for a changing climate.

The goal of the open house is to gather input on the community’s needs, vision, concerns and priorities to work toward a resilient, low-emissions future for Flagstaff. The plan will build on past efforts to reduce emissions and improve sustainability, as well as establish a clear road map of priority actions and projects for Flagstaff.

Visit the Climate Action and Adaptation Plan website (http://flagstaff.az.gov/ClimatePlan) to share ideas for climate action, sign up for the newsletter and stay up-to-date on future opportunities to weigh in on Flagstaff’s climate action planning.
