‘Masquerade on the Mountain,’ a Black Tie Gala for the March of Dimes, to be held Sept. 28 in Flagstaff

Reservations due by Sept. 25

FLAGSTAFF — “Masquerade on the Mountain,” a Black Tie Gala full of dining, dancing, and dedication to raising awareness and funds for the March of Dimes, will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 1175 W. Route 66, Flagstaff.

Ticket sales ends Wednesday, Sept. 25.

The goal is to raise $22,000 to provide an Implicit Bias training to medical professionals in Flagstaff and Northern Arizona.

Racial and ethnic disparities in some communities are worsening. In order to have healthy moms and strong babies, maternity care systems must continue to address threats to good health. Researchers have identified implicit bias among health care providers as a potential contributor to these disparities.

Presented by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Flagstaff Alumnae Chapter, the event begins with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m, with the dinner at 7 p.m.

Masks are not required, but are suggested. To purchase tickets, visit www.eventbrite.com. Send an email to sgrhoflagstaffalumnae@gmail.com for more information.
