NAU to present ‘An Evening with Ailyn Morera’ on April 16

APRIL 16FLAGSTAFF — “An Evening with Ailyn Morera” will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16 at Liberal Arts 136, Building 18 at Northern Arizona University. The event is free and open to the public.

Morera will be telling stories from all over the world in Spanish. Her stories will include Latin American and universal stories, tales of love, danger and intelligence.

Morera is a Costa Rican playwright, scriptwriter and actress who has travelled the globe telling stories and promoting theater, arts and education. Her works have been published or presented all over the world in countries including United States, Mexico, South Africa, Argentina, Spain, Colombia, Cuba and in the Middle American Region. In her work, Morera blends theatrical training with feminism. Her stories demonstrate the intersectionality of the arts and human rights. Morera has taught theater workshops in various countries including la Escuela de Artes Escénicas de la Universidad de Costa Rica, Costa Rica, Cabo City, South Africa, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panamá y El Salvador.
