FLAGSTAFF — Teatro Izcalli, a San Diego-based Chican@ comedy troupe, to present a free performance at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 at NAU’s Ashurst Hall, organizers reported in a media release.
Teatro Izcalli’s actos (sketches) address issues such as racism, identity, higher education, health education, and representation of Latinos in the entertainment industry.
Besides the free public performance, the troupe will also present a workshop exploring community art and theater as a tool for cultural revitalization and decolonization at the Native American Cultural Center from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 10. RVSP required.
