Robert Neustadt will be playing a concert of songs about borders, immigration and refugees as the featured performer at the Flagstaff Folk Project on Friday, Jan. 20. This is at the Beacon Unitarian Universalist church on N. Leroux. They’ll have an open mic from 7:15 pm – 8:15 and then my Border Songs concert will be from 8:30 – 9:30. I’d be honored to share my songs with you on the eve of you-know-who’s inauguration.

Neustadt also reports “A number of us are forming a volunteer group called ‘Keeping Flagstaff Together’ in order to help keep people from Flagstaff from being deported. We’ll be following the model of the very successful ‘Keeping Tucson Together.’ Volunteers make themselves available for people from the community who are in danger of being deported. Volunteers help folks fill out paperwork and then a lawyer will oversee everything to make sure it is all done correctly. Margo Cowan, Public Defender and No More Deaths and Keeping Tucson Together attorney will be leading a workshop at 9 AM on Sat January 21 in the Killip Elementary School Library. Please come if you might like to volunteer to help Keep Flagstaff Together.”

Finally, there will be a March for Love, also on Saturday Jan 21 to correspond with the Woman’s March in Washington. Meet at City Hall at 2:00 pm and then we’ll march to Heritage Square.
