May 11 — Lone Tree Road between Butler and Franklin to close

FLAGSTAFF — As part of the Lone Tree Overpass and Corridor Project, Lone Tree Road will be closed in both directions from Butler Avenue to Franklin Avenue from May 11 – 15. This closure will facilitate the installation of roadway pavement. Two open traffic lanes will be maintained on Butler Avenue throughout this closure.

The City anticipates that Butler Avenue will reopen to four lanes of traffic in late May/early June. Construction work will continue on Lone Tree Road south of Butler Avenue through the summer construction season.

The Lone Tree Overpass and Corridor Project aims to improve mobility and safety with a new north-south roadway connection extending Lone Tree Road between Butler Avenue to the south and Route 66 to the north. The project is funded by 2018 voter approved Proposition 419 and Proposition 420. For more information, please visit https://lonetreeoverpass.org/
