Summer Youth Clay Camp for Ages 8-12

June 1–5, 2026 – 9am-12pm — $200

Let creativity take shape this summer in Youth Summer Clay Camp! Young artists (ages 8–12) will explore handbuilding techniques like pinch pots, coils, and slabs while creating fun, imaginative projects. Campers will also try the pottery wheel and learn about texture, form, and glazing. No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy. Finished pieces will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup after camp.

Kids Plates, Cups, and Bowls! for Ages 7-13

June 12, 2026 – Friday, 9am-12pm — $50

Step into the clay kitchen and create your own handmade set of plates, cups, and bowls! In this hands-on workshop, young artists (ages 7–13) will learn beginner-friendly handbuilding techniques to shape and decorate a cup and plate, then try the pottery wheel to complete a bowl. All materials included. No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy. Finished pieces will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup later.

Kids Make Your Own Dry Erase Board! for Ages 7-13

Turn clay into something you can use every day! In this hands-on workshop, young artists (ages 7–13) will design and build their own reusable dry erase board using slab-building techniques. Students will shape a custom clay frame and create a smooth glazed surface perfect for notes, drawings, and reminders. All materials included. No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy. Pieces will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup later.

Kids Clay Whistles & Ocarinas for Ages 7-13

Explore the musical side of clay in this fun, hands-on workshop! Young artists (ages 7–13) will create their own clay whistles or ocarinas while learning basic handbuilding techniques and how shape and airflow produce sound. Students will shape, decorate, and personalize a unique instrument that’s both art and music. All materials included. No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy. Pieces will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup later.

KIDS CLAY WHISTLES & OCARINAS FOR AGES 7-13 : SIGN UP
We Are All Creative – Just For Kids Ages 6-8

Every child is creative—this camp helps them discover it! In this fun, supportive workshop for ages 6–8, kids will explore art through everyday materials, learning techniques like printmaking, collage, mark-making, and texture. With a focus on experimentation and confidence-building, students will create a unique body of work while developing storytelling and design skills. All materials included. No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to make art.

With an emphasis on experimentation and creative confidence, students will develop composition and storytelling skills while building a unique body of work. All materials included. Junk Percussion Camp – Ages 6-11

July 20–24, 2026 – 1-4pm — $200

Get ready to make some noise—in the best way possible! In our Junk Percussion Camp, kids ages 6–11 will turn everyday objects like buckets, cans, and recycled materials into awesome musical instruments. Campers will explore rhythm, beat-making, and creative expression while learning how to play together as a group.

Throughout the week, kids will design and build their own one-of-a-kind instruments, experiment with different sounds, and discover how music can be made from just about anything. Through fun games and hands-on activities, they’ll build confidence, teamwork skills, and a love for music.

The week wraps up with a lively final performance where campers show off their creations and new skills for family and friends. No musical experience needed—just bring your imagination and get ready to play!

Scholarships are an important part of Sedona Arts Center. It has a long history in providing students in need of financial assistance, the ability to hone their skills and creative talents. Art classes and workshops also allow an emotional break from daily life and offer social interaction with fellow lovers of art. We are proud to offer our scholarship program, with the help of The Kling Family Foundation, The Ceramics Scholarship Fund, and the Debbie Winslow Scholarship Fund, which allow us to continue this long standing opportunity.
