The Sedona International Film Festival series continues at Theatrikos Theatre Company on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 7:00 p.m. with the acclaimed documentary Old Man Lightning.

This hilarious comeback story follows cranky bouldering legend John “Verm” Sherman. At 57, Verm sets out to re-climb Yosemite’s legendary Midnight Lightning boulder. Hindered by injuries and beerlust, but driven to raise awareness for endangered condors, he enlists cheerfully sadistic trainer Ryan “Meatball” Whited for a grueling six-month transformation. The award-winning film seamlessly balances Monty Python-style comedy with poignant heart.

The screening features an exclusive post-show Q&A with director Dawn Kish, an accomplished photographer and filmmaker who brings art, adventure, and advocacy to the screen.

Rehearsals are well underway for Finding Nemo, Jr., the vibrant upcoming production from TheatriKids! Young local performers are hard at work bringing Pixar’s beloved underwater tale to life in a magical musical spectacle.
