Get ready to fall in love and laugh until it hurts! The hilarious musical revue I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is coming to the Theatrikos stage this July. This crowd-pleasing production takes a deep dive into the modern jungle of dating and relationships, offering a fast-paced look at the trials and tribulations of the human heart. From the nail-biting awkwardness of a first date to the chaotic bliss of marriage and beyond, the show explores universal truths with wit, soul, and a necessary touch of insanity.
There’s a moment that happens just before the lights go down, when the room settles, conversations fade, and a kind of quiet anticipation takes over. Lately, I’ve been sitting in that moment a little longer, taking it in.
Because this year, it feels different.
We opened our season with Clue, and from the very first performance, there was an electricity in the room, laughter that felt shared, immediate, and needed. Then came The Marvelous Wonderettes, and I found myself watching not just the stage, but the audience. People swaying in their seats. Smiling at each other. Singing under their breath. For a couple of hours, nothing else seemed to matter.
Get ready for a hilarious, heartbreaking, and “sort of” Chekhovian experience as Theatrikos presents Life Sucks., opening May 21. Directed by John Forsythe, this bold adaptation of Uncle Vanya tackles life’s biggest questions with modern wit and a healthy dose of fourth-wall-breaking honesty.

Next weekend, the stage will come alive with imagination, music, and the joyful energy of young performers as Theatrikos Theatre Company’s Education Department presents its newest TheatriKids and Stage Buddies production, Seussical Jr.
This year’s production will be performed at Coconino High School, marking an exciting partnership between Theatrikos and the school. This high-energy jukebox musical whisks us back to the 1958 Springfield High School Prom, where four best friends with big dreams and even bigger voices take the stage. We’ve found a quartet of powerhouse performers ready to deliver those iconic four-part harmonies and classic hits like “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover,” and “Lipstick on Your Collar.” From the bubblegum pop of the 50s to the soulful girl-group sounds of the 60s, these ladies are ready to sing their hearts out.
