City of Flagstaff seeks community input on Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, Open Space, and Events (PROSE) Master Plan

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz – The City of Flagstaff has launched the PROSE Master Plan campaign to develop a new Parks, Recreation, Open Space, and Events Comprehensive Master Plan. This year-long process will include numerous opportunities for residents to share their ideas and vision for the future, including:

  • Intercept survey at Science in the Park on September 26
  • Community Workshop #1 at the Flagstaff Aquaplex on October 22

The workshops will be held in an open house format, and the public is welcome to stop by any time to provide input on current and future parks, recreation, open space, and events needs and priorities.

The purpose of the Parks, Recreation, Open Space, and Events Comprehensive Master Plan is to define opportunities, challenges, and recommendations for the next 10 years and beyond. The City of Flagstaff is looking to its residents to help provide important input, as community participation is critical to the plan’s success.

A variety of workshops and community events will be offered throughout the process, including community workshops, pop-up events, and numerous stakeholder meetings with user groups and community leaders. Residents can get involved right away by visiting the Flagstaff PROSE project website at FlagstaffPROSE.com. The website offers several ways to share ideas, including:

  • An online survey
  • An interactive mapping tool
  • A “Share Your Big Idea” public forum
  • An interactive budgeting tool to help identify priorities
  • An opportunity to submit general comments
