FLAGSTAFF — As part of the annual Road Repair and Street Safety Program, lane closures are scheduled on US Highway 89 between N Cummings St and the City limit/ near N Snowflake Dr and E Trails End Dr on May 19 and May 20. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the work hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The lane closures will allow for crack sealing work to be performed on the roadway.
Work under the Road Repair and Street Safety Program is also ongoing in other areas of the City and projects are currently underway in the Crestview and Presidio neighborhoods, as well as along County Club Drive and Huntington Drive.
The City and its contractor are taking all possible measures to minimize the impact of this work on local residents and businesses. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve the City’s roadways for all users.
The annual Road Repair and Street Safety program is funded by Flagstaff voters’ 2014 approval of
Proposition 406, a $100 million, 20-year dedicated sales tax for road repair and street safety projects.
