FLAGSTAFF — On July 1, the City of Flagstaff will be transitioning from the residential curbside glass collection program to a drop-off model. Six drop-off locations are now available City-wide for residents to deposit glass products to be recycled. This change is being implemented to optimize collection operations and improve operational efficiency. There are no changes for commercial customers at this time.

Glass drop off bins are located at:

  • Jay Lively Activity Center | 1650 N Turquoise Dr | Bin is in the parking lot on the southwest side of the complex closest to Turquoise Drive.
  • Southside | 116 W Phoenix Ave | Bin is behind the Downtown Connection Center in the northwest corner of the public parking lot.
  • Northern Arizona University | Pine Knoll Drive | Bin is in the southwest corner of the P62B parking lot near the disc golf course.
  • Recycling Transfer Station | 1800 E Butler Ave | Bin is in the parking lot of the facility and is open to the public from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Continental Little League Field | 5650 E Old Walnut Canyon Road | Bin is located in the east side of the parking lot.
  • 89 North | Marketplace Drive and West Research Drive | Bin is near the entrance to Peak Ranger Station.
  • City and Coconino County residents can also drop off glass at the Cinder Lake Landfill.

The glass drop-off bins are only for glass. Please do not leave other recyclable items or household trash next to the glass bins. All colors of glass are accepted.

For current curbside glass collection customers, billing for this service will be end on June 30, 2026, and no charge will be assessed for the service change. Curbside glass carts will be collected on your regular service date during July 2026. Please place your cart curbside by 6 a.m.

As a reminder, glass cannot be placed in the regular large curbside recycle containers. Doing so poses a safety hazard for workers and damages sorting equipment.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this transition. For related questions, please contact solidwastesolutions@flagstaffaz.gov or call 928-213-2110.
