COCONINO COUNTY — Coconino County Superintendent of Schools Cheryl Mango-Paget is seeking public input regarding the potential appointment of Bob Jensen to fill the current vacancy on the Page Unified School District Governing Board.
The vacancy was created following the resignation of a Governing Board member effective June 17, 2026. The appointment would fill the remainder of the current term, which expires on Dec. 31, 2026.
Mr. Jensen is the sole qualified candidate who filed for the Page Unified School District Governing Board two-year term in the Nov. 3, 2026 General Election. Because the number of qualified candidates does not exceed the number of seats to be filled, the election is expected to be cancelled in accordance with Arizona law, and Mr. Jensen will be deemed elected to the term beginning in January 2027, pending final action by the Coconino County Board of Supervisors. A.R.S. § 15-424(E).
To provide continuity in governance, Superintendent Mango-Paget is considering appointing Mr. Jensen to the current vacant seat so that he may begin serving prior to the start of his elected term.
Community members are encouraged to provide comments regarding the potential appointment by emailing cmango-paget@coconino.az.gov
Public comments will be accepted through Aug. 17, 2026.
