For several years, Theatrikos has welcomed film into our space as part of our artistic offerings. Beginning in 2026, that work deepens into a lasting commitment. Film at Theatrikos places cinema at the heart of our programming, embracing film as a powerful storytelling medium alongside live theatre. Through carefully curated documentaries, independent films, festival partnerships, and community centered screenings, we are expanding how stories are shared and experienced at Theatrikos. This new focus reinforces our mission to connect, inspire, and engage our community through exceptional storytelling, on stage and on screen. Stay tuned as we share more details in the months ahead.

Kicking off our 2026 cinema programming, Theatrikos is proud to present You Got Gold: A Celebration of John Prine, co-presented with the Sedona International Film Festival. Filmed at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, this unforgettable tribute honors one of America’s greatest songwriters through electrifying  performances and intimate stories shared by friends, family, and fellow artists.

Featuring appearances by Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Lucinda Williams, Dwight Yoakam, Tyler Childers, Bob Weir, and more, the film captures the humor, heart, and humanity that made John Prine a beloved musical icon. Join us for this one night celebration of music, memory, and storytelling on screen at Theatrikos.

Join us on the Theatrikos main stage for an electrifying production by our advanced youth performers. TheatriKids Presents: She Kills Monstersshowcases the talent, imagination, and dedication of students ages 14 to 18 in our Advanced Performance Workshop. Fully staged with lights, costumes, and all the magic of live theatre, this production highlights the next generation of theatre artists as they take center stage.

An unforgettable romp into the world of fantasy role playing games, She Kills Monsters follows Agnes Evans as she uncovers her late sister’s Dungeons and Dragons^™️ notebook and is pulled into a thrilling adventure filled with dragons, ogres, and unexpected self discovery. Packed with heart, humor, and 1990s pop culture, this high energy play is a powerful tribute to love, loss, and the inner geek and warrior in us all. Performances run January 23rd through February 1st.

We are thrilled to share an exciting evolution in Theatrikos Education. As we look ahead, learning and artistic growth will become an even more integral part of our mission, serving artists and community members of all ages. This spring marks the beginning of an expanded education program that now includes classes for adults, creating new opportunities to explore movement, creativity, and storytelling beyond the stage. These offerings represent an important step toward making Theatrikos a home not only for performance, but for lifelong artistic Discovery.

Launching this spring, we are proud to offer two Contemporary Modern Dance classes for adults ages 16 and up. Classes begin the week of January 26th in the brand new Theatrikos Education Studio.

➤ Absolute Beginner Dance is designed for those with no prior dance experience and focuses on foundational movement, body coordination, balance, and introductory choreography.

➤ Beginning Intermediate Dance is ideal for students with previous dance experience who are ready to deepen their technique, musicality, performance quality, and floor work through more complex movement sequences.

Both classes are taught by acclaimed teaching artist Elisa Reed and are available for $225 each. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.

We are delighted to welcome Elisa Reed to Theatrikos as our newest teaching artist. An accomplished performer, choreographer, and educator, Elisa brings a rich and dynamic background to our education program. She holds an MFA in Dance from Arizona State University and has taught and performed nationally and internationally, including at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Most recently, she served as Dance Department Chair at Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy, where she taught a wide range of dance styles and mentored young artists. Elisa’s approach blends technical rigor with expressive freedom, creating an inclusive and inspiring environment for dancers at every stage of their journey. We are honored to have her lead this exciting new chapter in adult education at Theatrikos.
