Measuring brain glucose metabolism is a great way to detect declining brain function, but there’s not a non-invasive way to do it. NAU researchers may have the answer: a new commercially available kit that allows scientists to test microvesicles, tiny pieces of brain ‘cargo,’ with a simple blood draw.
