Bilingual information: 2020 Census Update and Resources

COCONINO COUNTY — As Coconino County deals with the challenges of the COVID-19 outbreak, please remember to take time to fill out your 2020 Census.

Funding for Health Care Centers, Medicare, Medicaid, and many other programs that are crucial to our community, and its ability to respond to health crises, are all linked to decennial census numbers.

So while you are teleworking and keeping socially distant, please take 10 minutes to go online to my2020census.gov and get your household counted. See the attached message from the U.S. Census Bureau for more information on how they are adapting their operational strategy to the COVID-19 situation.

The 2020 Census is well underway and is ready for America to respond as the first invitations are arriving in the mail at an estimated 140 million households between last Thursday, March 12 and this Friday, March 20. With the Census operations in full swing, the U.S. Census Bureau continues to carefully monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and follow the guidance of federal, state and local health authorities.
