FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff has announced the City Council agenda for upcoming Flagstaff City Council meeting.

Please note, meeting location has been changed to Coconino County Board of Supervisors Chambers, 219 E. Cherry Ave., Flagstaff.

  • APRIL 11, 2017 FLAGSTAFF CITY COUNCIL MEETING LOCATED AT COCONINO COUNTY — On March 28, 2017 the Flagstaff City Hall Council Chambers meeting room located at 211 W. Aspen Ave. experienced structural concerns from a recent snow storm due to the failure of a structural member holding up the roof of the Council Chambers.The Chambers were constructed in 1983 and the City is moving forward with the necessary repairs and structure remediation. “We are working with structural engineers on a design to repair the Council Chambers and Conference Room that will resolve the roof support issues and we look forward to using the room for board and commission meetings as well as council meetings with our citizens” stated City Manager Josh Copley.

    Council Chambers is anticipated to re-open in mid-August 2017 following the Flagstaff City Council Summer recess. “Safety is our primary concern and we appreciate the public’s patience and understanding with the temporary closure to do the necessary repairs” Copley said.

    The next two City Council work sessions on April 11 and 17 will be located at the Coconino County Board of Supervisors Chambers at 219 E. Cherry Ave. in downtown Flagstaff. The meetings will be streamed live at www.coconino.az.gov/1589/BOS-Video-Stream and the link will be available on the city website as well. On Tuesday, April 18 the City Council meeting will be located at Flagstaff High School (400 W. Elm Ave.) Also in April is the City Council Budget Retreat scheduled April 26-27 and it will be located at the Flagstaff Aquaplex (1702 N. Fourth St.)

    The public is invited to attend all City Council meetings and are provided an opportunity to speak about agenda topics. City Council agendas and recorded city council meetings are available at the city’s website www.flagstaff.az.gov.
