Flagstaff to hold Municipal Courthouse Groundbreaking Ceremony on May 30

FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Municipal Courthouse that will be open to the public on May 30 at 10:30. The facility is set to open spring 2020.

The new, three-story, $19.5 million facility (approved by voters in 2016)  will replace the current small, outdated, and deteriorating building at 15 N. Beaver St. Features include three jury-capable courtrooms, one non-jury capable courtroom, a jury assembly room, a hearing room, and two jury deliberation rooms.

This groundbreaking will provide the public with an opportunity to hear from key stakeholders who will speak on the courthouse history, design and intended future impact in northern Arizona.

Location: Current construction site lot located at 101 W. Cherry Ave. Parking will be available in the old St. Mary’s School site on the corner of Cherry Ave. and Beaver St.
