Friends of Flagstaff’s Future reports on public comment on Feb. 23 for The Hub student housing project

— Friends of Flagstaff’s Future

Friends of Flagstaff's FutureFLAGSTAFF — The City Council will hear the first public comment on the The Hub, a massive, dormitory-style student housing project proposed for the Mikes Pike/Phoenix Avenue area, starting Tuesday, 2/23 at 6 pm.
F3 is opposed to The Hub (and all other high-occupancy housing developments until the city can create a plan for guiding this new land use, which the council has recently directed staff to do).

The scale of the project is not in keeping with the context and character of the historic Southside neighborhood. Read more about The Hub and the process that brought it to the council.
Please come to council tomorrow, Tuesday, 2/23 at 6 pm to voice your opposition to The Hub. There will be a rally starting at 5:40 on the steps of City Hall. (It is likely that there will not be enough time for all the public comment this week, and that the hearing will be continued to Tuesday, March 1. Find further details on the public process here.)
