The City of Flagstaff is pleased to announce that Brian Gall has accepted the position of Airport Director for the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport. Brian has 16 years of experience in municipal government, federal government, and consulting. Brian currently serves as the Airport Programs Manager at the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport and previously worked for the City of Flagstaff as a Development Engineering Project Manager.

Ahead of the upcoming holiday season, Flagstaff Pulliam Airport reminds travelers to arrive 90 minutes before departure to ensure a seamless experience during this busy travel period. New airline regulations do not allow passengers to check in or check bags less than 45 minutes before domestic departures or one hour for international travelers.

“New regulations require strict cut off times for checked baggage to run required reports regarding aircraft weight prior to take off,” said Barney Helmick, Flagstaff Pulliam Airport Director. “Flying out of Flagstaff is a seamless option for your holiday travel and we thank folks for flying Flagstaff.”

Ahead of the upcoming Fourth of July weekend, Flagstaff Pulliam Airport reminds travelers to arrive 90 minutes before departure to ensure a seamless experience during this busy travel period. New regulations, implemented by the airlines, require passengers to check in or check bags at least 45 minutes prior to departure.

“In order for the airlines to run required reports regarding the aircraft’s weight, airlines are unable to accept baggage less than 45 minutes before departure, so it’s important travelers arrive with plenty of time before takeoff,” said Barney Helmick, Flagstaff Pulliam Airport Director. “Flying out of Flagstaff is still your easiest option for northern Arizona travelers, we just ask that folks arrive with plenty of time to check in and check any bags.”

Mask mandate lifted at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport

Effective immediately, the City of Flagstaff has lifted the mask mandate at the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport following an announcement from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The TSA announced that it will no longer be enforcing masking on public transportation due to a recent federal court ruling.

Flying patrons or visitors to the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport will have the choice to wear or not wear a mask.

Now as people feel free to move about the country again, Airport Director Barney Helmick says the airport is on track for a year almost as good as 2019.
