FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff has called in all available first responders and employees to assist with flood response and recovery efforts. City crews are working around the community to conduct damage assessments, remove debris, repair damage and reopen roads.
Avoid impacted areas and floodwater
The public is urged to avoid impacted areas including Downtown, Southside, Country Club, Soliere, Foxglenn and Continental. Stay out of flood water as it may be contaminated with bacteria, viruses, chemicals and sharp debris.
Submit reports of damage
If your home experienced flooding, please submit a damage report at https://gis.flagstaffaz.gov/Storm-Damage-Report/.This allows the City to better document affected areas and support local and state damage assessments. Submitting a report is NOT an application for assistance. Do not use this survey to report damage to outbuildings, trees or fences.
Available resources
An Emergency Operations Center has been activated to coordinate response and recovery. The following resources are available for those impacted by flooding:
- Red Cross shelter at Sinagua Middle School (3950 E. Butler Ave). Shelter services include meals, snacks, water, health support and information about additional resources for individuals and families who need a safe place to stay.
- The Coconino County Call Center (928-679-8525) is open on Monday, Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and can answer questions about evacuation status, sandbag locations and road conditions. Always call 911 for emergencies.
City services and facilities
City administrative offices and non-essential facilities are closed on Monday, Nov. 2 to allow emergency responders and employees to respond to the impacts of the flooding events. This includes City recreation centers, libraries, City Hall and the Flagstaff Visitor Center. Trash, recycling, and bulk trash collection continue to operate on a normal schedule. The City’s drinking water was not impacted and remains safe to drink. Foxglenn Park (4200 E Butler Ave) remains closed due to flooding.
Voting at City facilities on Nov. 3
All voting operations at City facilities will operate as normal on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Thank you to all first responders across our region who have worked tirelessly during this and other recent weather events to assist community members in need.
