Coconino County Hispanic Advisory Council (CHAC) named Honor Division for 2019 Armed Forces Day Parade on May 18

FLAGSTAFF — The Coconino County Hispanic Advisory Council (CHAC) will be the Honor Division for 2019 Armed Forces Day Parade that will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18 in downtown Flagstaff.

CHAC was established in 2001 by the Board of Supervisors, the Coconino County Hispanic Advisory Council (C.H.A.C.*) serves as an official liaison and communications link between the Hispanic/Latino community and Coconino County.

During the past five years, CHAC has been honoring Hispanic veterans during its annual César E. Chávez Community Recognition Breakfast, with the 2019 event honoring local Purple Heart Veterans.

The 13th annual parade will include a recognition of CHAC and of all Hispanic veterans, with Hispanic veterans requested to RSVP to flagstaffafd2019@gmail.com or by calling 928-286-7446.

Flagstaff Nuestras Raices will also take part in the annual parade.
