FLAGSTAFF — Flagstaff Nuestras Raíces celebrated a successful First Friday Sugar Skull workshop at Banderas Craft Tacos in downtown Flagstaff on Oct. 4, 2019.
Nearly three dozen sugar skulls were decorated by families as part of the group’s Día de los Muertos education program ahead of the 16th annual Celebraciones de la Gente on Oct. 26-27 at the Museum of Northern Arizona. Sugar Skull decorating workshops will be held both days.
The First Friday workshop was also attended by a photographer from the Arizona Daily Sun and a reporting crew from NAZToday.
